Position Overview
In collaboration with the QAHS Pedagogical Leadership Team, the Assistant Principal is responsible for the effective development, delivery, and evaluation of all educational programs, including academic and pastoral elements for students.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Master's degree in education or an Honors Degree, QTS and postgraduate qualifications in educational leadership.
  • A background (university degree) in a Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) field.
  • Demonstrated leadership in curriculum coordination and/or pastoral care (preferably both)
  • Experience building and maintaining an effective school culture.
  • Understanding and experience of best educational practices in STEM Education.
  • Understanding and experience with project-based learning.
  • Understanding and experience in integrating technology into curriculum to improve student achievement.
  • Experience with Advanced Placement (AP) is preferred.

General Responsibilities
The Assistant Principal will:
  • Report to the Principal and assist in leading a multiple pathway High School with up to 500 students.
  • Assist the Principal to oversee the smooth running of the secondary school on a dayto-day basis as well as the building and grounds.
  • Assist the Principal in the pedagogical leadership, overseeing curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
  • Assist the Principal to monitor student achievement data and engage teachers inutilizing data to inform instruction.
  • Assist the Principal to emphasize the importance of student social, emotional, and physical wellbeing as a primary goal for all staff.
  • Ensure the preparation and documentation of all necessary school based and Pre-University Education reports such as the staff appraisal system.
  • Support the Principal in the teacher evaluation system that focuses on growth and development of the effective teaching.
  • Maintain proper supervision of all areas to ensure student safety and wellbeing.
  • Participate on committees outside the school in the development of policies and systems for STEM Education.
  • Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) on policies and systems for the continuous development of the whole system.
  • Work closely with the SLT to ensure the recruitment of highly qualified staff.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Principal

➢ • Total eligible children capped at three (3). Eligible staff will have the flexibility to choose between this school and other schools based on the below
conditions:
  • This Schools: Uncapped amount up to 3 children.
  • Other Schools: Amount capped at QAR 45,000 per academic year per child up to three (3) children.
  • The Foundation will cover the following:
  • Registration fees, Capital fees and Tuition fees.
  • Cost of school charged syllabus books and entrance tests fees
  • Payment of assistance is based on official invoices from the schools verified by a receipt reflecting payment of tuition fees
